We’re beyond excited to reveal our Bougatsa gelato flavour in celebration of the upcoming release of our dear friend Julia Busuttil Nishimura’s new book “Good Cooking Every Day”!
It’s been such a privilege and pleasure to work with Julia on this occasion. We were extremely lucky to be able to flick through the very first copy of the book, and the bougatsa recipe immediately caught our attention. Bougatsa is a Greek “custard pie”, traditionally made with semolina custard between layers of flaky filo pastry. Of course, we gave it a little Pidapipo twist.
Our version consists of a lemony semolina custard gelato, which we then generously coat in caramelised filo pastry flakes. This limited edition flavour is available in all stores until October 6th.
